Our Story …
Our story began in 2006 when Rich Lewis felt led to open his private counseling practice, Pathways Counseling Clinic (PCC), in the small town of DeRidder, LA, deep in the heart of Southwest Louisiana. From a young boy, and on into his adult years, Rich always had a heart for serving the people of the SWLA community where he was born and raised.
In 2009, after five years of providing mental health counseling and ministerial services through PCC and partnering with affiliate organizations, Rich and his wife Amie felt led to relocate their family to the South Atlanta Metro area. It was during this time Rich chose to focus the majority of his clinical work in serving and ministering to military families.
In 2013, after four years of full-time independent contracting with the Army and the Air Force, Rich felt led to reopen PCC in the state of Georgia, but instead of managing it as a sole practitioner, this time he would bring on like-minded associates with similar visions who were interested in serving their own communities in and around the Atlanta and Macon metro areas providing satellite offices to serve through various churches and community organizations. To date, Pathways Counseling Clinic has worked with thousands of individuals and families in the communities of Locust Grove, Hampton, Fayetteville, Newnan, Peachtree City and Warner Robins, GA, and all of the therapists associated with these offices have gone on to become independently licensed within their respective counseling specialities and are continuing to serve their communities beyond their time with our organization.
Going forward, the future looks bright and we are excited to continue serving the communities we are in and meeting people where they are at along their journey. In the future we plan to offer both virtual and in person training seminars and workshops on a larger scale to both clients and therapists alike so stay tuned to see what new and fresh things are happening as God continues to work through us and through the vision he has given our organization to fulfill.
